Starting on Thursday, India needs an average of almost one dose of crore per day to the end of the year to reach the target to fully vaccinate the entire population of adults.
To do this, it must almost double the daily average achieved in the best week so far – only below 59 lakh per day from June 19 to 25.
The burden will be heavier in countries such as West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, where the average needed for the rest of the year is about doubled achieved in the best week or even more.
Worried, it list includes four densest countries in the country at 8pm on Wednesday, a little more than 60 doses of Crore have been given since the beginning of vaccination drive in January.
It made around 127.6 the crore dose managed for 128 days left this year to give everyone in the estimated population of 93.9 adults crore each with two doses.
Countries such as Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and Uttarakhand will be able to meet the target even by doing significantly less than their best daily average.
These countries can complete the vaccination of adults before December 31 if they can maintain the highest speed they have achieved.
With the third wave predicted towards the end of October, countries compete to manage as many doses as possible before that.
Himachal Pradesh can complete vaccination before the first week of October if you continue to vaccinate more than one lakh per day, the best daily average for a week.
Uttarakhand and Kerala, if they manage their best daily average around one dose of lakh and 3.3 doses of each lakh, can complete vaccination in about 83 days or before the end of November.
The best daily average is the average number of daily doses in a week that register the highest number of doses given.
The highest dose delivered in one day will be much higher than this.
Nationally, for example, the number 90 lakh has been skipped twice, on June 21 and on August 16.
This, according to experts, shows that with adequate vaccine supply, India has the capacity to do more than one dose of crore per day.
However, with several countries left behind in the vaccine administration, countries that have failed to show the ability to provide a fairly possible dose that needs to double their daily vaccination, such as West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Eight countries, including Gujarat, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Assam, can resolve vaccination of all adult state populations at the end of the year even if the daily average dosage given is less than the highest daily average.
But the rest must be in accordance with their best or better performance every day from now on, including Sunday, to be able to reach the target.
