Glasgow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his colleagues Nepals Sher Bahadur Deuba, during a meeting at Glasgow on Tuesday, recorded excellent cooperation between two countries during a pandemic, especially through the supply of vaccines, and medical equipment from India to Nepal.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in a statement, said that this was the first meeting of Prime Minister Modi with Prime Minister Deuba after telephone conversations between them in July this year when Deuba assumed the office as Nepal Prime Minister.
“The two leaders recorded excellent cooperation between India and Nepal during a pandemic, especially through the supply of vaccines, medicines and medical equipment from India to Nepal and by ensuring the flow of free goods across the border,” said Mea.
Both leaders discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation included in the context of sustainable efforts to Covid-19 pandemic.
Spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs Arinindam Bagchi said that leaders discussed the issue of climate change and Covid-19.
“Recovery of pandemic,” Bagchi said in a tweet.
