Washington: India on Friday Pakistan upbrided both in Washington and at the United Nations when Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan appealed to the world to work with the Taliban Triumphant Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised concerns about Pakistan during talks with US President Joe Biden and a wider four-way summit with Australian and Japanese leaders, according to Indian officials, who said others agreed.
“There is a clear feeling that a more careful view and more careful examination and monitoring the role of Pakistan in the role of Afghanistan – Pakistan about the problem of terrorism – must be saved,” said the foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla told reporters after the white house talks.
Khan, overcoming the UN General Assembly, said that the Taliban had promised to respect human rights and establish inclusive government since taking over last month, despite global disappointment in the cabinet guards.
“If the world community gives them incentives, and encourages them to walk, it will be a win-win situation for everyone,” Khan said.
“We must strengthen and stabilize the government today, for the sake of the people of Afghanistan.” Khan spent many speeches defending Pakistani records, which was the main supporter of the 1996-2001 Taliban regime who imposed an ultra-hard interpretation of Islam and welcomed Al-Qaeda, triggering the US invasion after the September 11 attack.
Khan, a old critic of the 20-year US war which ended with President Joe Biden, blamed his inappropriate parent of him for extremism flares in Pakistan and referred to the cooperation of Islamabad with US forces with US forces.
“There are many worries in the US about treating translators and everyone who helps the US.
What about us?” Khan said in a speech, pre-recorded by the video because of Covid-19 prevention measures.
“At least there should be a reward.
But instead of appreciation, imagine how we feel when we are blamed for the turn of events in Afghanistan.” US officials have been accused of strong intelligence services in Islamabad to maintain support for the Taliban, leading the predecessor of Biden Donald Trump to cut military assistance.
Biden hasn’t spoken, let alone invite Khan, although the Secretary of State Antony Blinken met on Thursday on the United Nations with his Pakistan partner and offered thank you for helping to repatriate US citizens from Afghanistan.
Khan accuses a vibrant world for a billion-plus Indian market giving “total impunity” to Modi in a speech loaded even for Pakistan, which routinely punishes India at the United Nations.
“The Hindutva ideology filled with hatred, reproduced by the RSS-BJP Fascist regime, has released the government of fear and violence against the strong 200 million Muslim community in India,” Khan said.
Khan refers to the Bharatiya Janata Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, a Hindu Century Revival movement with paramilitary components.
Under Modi, India has canceled the deadlock of Kashmir, the only majority region of Muslims, driven through citizenship laws which were said by discriminatory critics and witnessed the flare-up of recurrent religious violence.
While India often ignored Pakistan’s statement, a young Indian diplomat responded from the General Assembly floor.
Sneha Dubey, a first secretary at the United Nations Mission, accused Pakistan to protect and glorify Mastermind Al-Qaeda Osama bin Laden – who was killed by US special forces in 2011 – in Abbottabad Army City.
“We continue to hear that Pakistan is a victim of terrorism.
This is a country that is a burner disguised as a fire department,” he said.
“Pakistan preserves terrorists in their backyard in the hope that they will only endanger their neighbors.” He highlighted violence against the minority in Pakistan and his “religious and cultural genocide” in 1971 when Bangladesh won independence.
“Unlike Pakistan, India is a pluralistic democracy with a large population of minorities that have accommodated the highest office in the country,” Dubey said.
The answer triggered another response as a Pakistani diplomat, Saima Saleem, took a problem with Dubey’s dispute that Kashmir, who was partly controlled by Islamabad, was an internal problem for India.
