India Recalls Galwan bravehearts on Early anniversary of deadly clashes

NEW DELHI: Glowing tributes were paid into the’bravehearts of Galwan’ on Tuesday because India recalled its military personnel who laid down their own lives while thwarting Chinese aggression in eastern Ladakh one year past.
“Their valour would probably be forever etched in the center of the country,” the Army explained as Chief of Army Staff Gen MM Naravane directed the force at paying homage to the 20 soldiers about the first anniversary of the fatal clashes which radically changed the military and political dynamics of the area.
Leading Gen Akash Kaushik, the officiating General Officer Commanding of the Fire and Fury Corps, laid a wreath in the iconic Leh war ministry.
Also known as the 14 Corps, it manages protecting the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China at the Ladakh area.
A statue of Colonel Santosh Babu, the controlling officer of this 16 Bihar Regiment who had been awarded the Mahavir Chakra posthumously, has been introduced in his native place at Suryapet from Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao.
“This is a personal loss for me personally and my 2 kids.
However, his sacrifice for India makes me feel pleased with him” explained Vanathi Devi, wife of Havildar K Palani, also noticed that the many challenges confronted by the army personnel.
Havildar (Gunner) K Palani, that had been conferred the Vir Chakra, posthumously, was a native of Kadukalur village at Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.
Three other troops, Naib Subedar Nuduram Soren, Naik Deepak Singh along with Sepoy Gurtej Singh were awarded the Vir Chakra posthumously.
Critics from across the political spectrum chose to Twitter to pay homage to the Galwan personalities on Tuesday.
Even the Congress, which was critical of the authorities handling of the standoff with China, said several questions remain unanswered.
“I connect a joyous nation in recalling that the 20 brave jawans of the Bihar Regiment, for example, commanding officer who lost their lives at a confrontation with all PLA troops at Galwan at the night of 15-16 June 2020.
“There are lots of questions which remain unanswered of the episode and several explanations that this administration owes to our own folks,” Rahul Gandhi explained in an Instagram article.
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi said that the party has patiently waited for the authorities to come clean and tell the country about the situation where the unprecedented episode occurred.
“The Congress party reiterates its concern that no penetration is still accessible along with also the prime minister’s final word on the topic a year ago was no transgression had happened,” she explained.

Gen Naravane also stated that India is coping with China at a”company” and”non-escalatory” way to guarantee the sanctity of its promises in eastern Ladakh and it was open to initiating confidence-building steps.
India was insisting on total disengagement in staying friction factors to de-escalate the specific situation in eastern Ladakh.
