Colombo: India on Wednesday was dismissed as a media report “factually” that claimed that it was trying to use the Sri Lankan airspace for military training together with the third country.
“We have seen several media reports stating that the authorities in Sri Lanka refused demand by India to use the Sri Lankan airspace for military training together with the third country.
The Indian High Commission wants to deny these reports factually,” India’s High Commission here said in a statement.
It was said that “there was no such request made by India because it used Sri Lanka airspace in the past for the purpose of training together with the third country.” However, it did not mention which media speculated on the rejection of Sri Lanka which was intended at India’s request.
