New Delhi: After more than three lakh for five consecutive days, India recorded 2.55,874 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total Indian case to 3,97,99,202, according to the UNI Ministry of Health data on Tuesday.
The dead toll has risen to 4,90,462 with 614 daily deaths, data is updated at 8 am.
The daily lift level is 15.52 percent while the weekly front level is 17.17 percent, according to the Ministry of Health.
The ministry said that the active case decreased to 22.36,842 and consisted of 5.62 percent of total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate declined to 93.15 percent.
Reduction 12,493 cases have been recorded in active cases in a 24-hour range.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 370.71, 898, while the case mortality rate was recorded at 1.23 percent, he said.
The cumulative dose of covid-19 vaccine given in the country has so far more than 162.92 crores.
India Covid-19 Tally has crossed 20 lakh on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on 5 and 50 September on September 16.
It passed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, passed 80 lakh on October 29 90 lakh on November 20 and exceeded the one-crore sign on December 19 2020.
India crossed two crore cases on May 4 and three cases crore at 23 June last year.
614 new fatality includes 171 from Kerala, 46 of Tamil Nadu and 45 of Punjab, data stated.
4,90,462 deaths have been reported so far in this country, including 1,42,151 from Maharashtra, 51,987 from Kerala, 38,614 from Karnataka, 37,264 from Tamil Nadu, 25,650 from Delhi, 23,073 from Uttar Pradesh and 20,375 from West Bengal.
The Ministry of Health said that more than 70 percent of deaths occurred because of comorbidity.
“Our numbers are reconciled by the Indian Medical Research Council,” said the ministry on its website, adding that the distribution of wise numbers is subject to further verification and reconciliation.
