New Delhi: India reported 41,383 new Covid-19 cases and 507 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the UNI Ministry of Health data was released on Thursday.
The total calculation of cases reached 3,12,57,720 while the total death toll is now 4.18,987.
The active case registered an increase for the second day in a row and recorded at 4.09,394.
The 2.224 increase in cases has been recorded in the Covid-19 Kaseload active in the 24-hour range.
The active case consists of 1.31 percent of the total infection, while the national recovery rate of Covid-19 was recorded at 97.35 percent, data was updated at 8am showing.
According to data released by the Indian Council of Researc (ICMR), 17,18,439 tests carried out on Wednesday took the total cumulative test carried out so far to detect Covid-19 in this country to 45.09,712.
Daily peposititivity level is recorded at 2.41 percent.
It has been less than three percent for 31 consecutive days, the ministry said, adding a weekly peposititivity level was recorded at 2.12 percent.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 3,04,29,339 and the case mortality rate reached 1.34 percent, the data stated.
The cumulative vaccine dose given so far has reached 41.78 crores under the drive of national vaccination.
India Covid-19 Tally has crossed a sign of 20 lakh on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on 5 and 50 September on September 16.

507 new deaths include 165 of Maharashtra and 105 May from Kerala.
4,18,987 deaths have been reported so far in the country including 1,30,918 from Maharashtra, 36,262 from Karnataka, 33,809 from Tamil Nadu, 25,039 from Delhi, 22,739 from Uttar Pradesh, 18,027 from West Bengal and 16,246 of Punjab.
The ministry emphasized that more than 70 percent of deaths occurred because of comorbidity.
