India saw the sharpest percentage of falling in the case of Covid-19 weekly in almost two months with a decreased infection of 13.6% in the week ended on Sunday, even though testing was beaten during this period due to the festival.
The country reported more than 2.2 lakh new cases in a week (August 16-22), down from 2.55,819 in seven days earlier.
This was the first two digit decline in a weekly case since June 28, July 4 week, when the number was dipped by 11.4%.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, new cases were dipped to 166-day low of only around 22,500.
