New Delhi: Series White Six Indian matches in Sri Lanka will now start from July 18 because of the Covid-19 outbreak in the home team camp, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah told PTI on Saturday.
The series, which was originally scheduled to start with three odi on July 13, must be rescheduled after Sri Lanka’s Batting Coach Grant Flower and Data Analyst GT Niroshan was tested positive for the feared virus on their return on the UK tour, which also means quarantine period Extended for members of the army.

While the tentative date which was originally discussed was July 17, but Shah confirmed that it would start from July 18.
“The Indian-Sri Lankan Odi series will begin on July 18 because of the outbreak in the home team camp,” Shah Pti said.
Three ODI matches will now be held on July 18, and 23 in the Premadasa Stadium attended by T20 Internationals, starting July 25.
