New Delhi: India will host a regional security dialogue in Afghanistan in New Delhi on November 10 according to sources, NSA level meetings will be chaired by Ajit Doval.
The previous two meetings in this format were held in Iran in September 2018 and December 2019.
The third meeting in India could not be held before because of the Pandemic Covid-19.
According to sources, there has been an extraordinary response to Indian invitations.
Some countries including Russia and Iran have confirmed participation in the meeting, where, not only direct neighbors Afghanistan was invited but also Central Asian countries were invited.
High-level participation in next week’s meeting organized by India reflects the concerns of extending and developing regional countries about the situation in Afghanistan and their desire to consult and coordinate with each other.
India has an important role in this process.
Invitations have been extended to China and Pakistan as well, and the formal response is awaited.
However, Pakistan has indicated through the media that it will not attend.
“Pakistan’s decision is very unfortunate, but it is not surprising.
This reflects his mindset at Afghanistan as his protectorate.
Pakistan has not attended the previous meeting of this format.
His media comments on India are efforts that fail to suspend the attention of their roles in Afghanistan.,” Source said.
