India to export Brahmos missiles to the Philippines, signed $ 374 million agreements

NEW DELHI: India on Friday inked that (Rs 2,770 crore) $ 375 million deal to export BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to the Philippines, which has had a running battle with China over territorial claims in the South China Sea in recent months.
The first contract to export 290-km wide range of BrahMos missile, which India has been developed jointly with Russia, will pave the way for more deals such as the Philippines and other ASEAN countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam, as previously reported by TOI.
