New Delhi: India will send a strong 228 contingent to the Tokyo Olympics, including 119 athletes, said President IOA Narinder Batra on Tuesday.
Of the 119 athletes, 67 were male and 52 female participants, said Batra during the interaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Olympic bonded athletes.

The Virtual Video Conference session was started by the Minister of Sports Unity and Affairs of the Thakur youth where he was “the total Indian contingent for the Tokyo Olympics will be 228.
There will be 67 men’s athletes and 52 female athletes.

This will be the biggest athlete contingent in India at the Olympics.
“The first contingent will leave for Tokyo on July 17.
It will have 90 athletes and total officials.”
