However, due to travel restrictions relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, he has been temporarily permitted by Wirate Home to lead in all the championship world testing.
“I still want to see a neutral referee because after you spend 2-3 reviews, there might still be a decision that can be a game of turns,” said the former Skipper India when commented on the third day of the second test.
“To avoid finger bias, you must have a neutral referee.” Gavaskar said he was pleased with the decision on the field taken by Wires House in the ongoing series and a draw in Australia in January.
“The quality of the referee in this series (between India and England) and in Australia has been brilliant.
Can’t say that about it during the days (playing),” he said.
Michael Gough and Richard Illingworth are two referees in the field in the second test, while Richard Kettleborough and Chris are spacious are inflapation and match their respective referees.
