Kolkata: The Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) on Thursday asked the control board for cricket in India (BCCI) to allow spectators at Eden Gardens for the T20i series against West Indies.
India and West Indies will lock horns in the T20i series at The Eden Gardens, Kolkata starting February 16.
“The problem related to the host of three T20 international matches between India and West Indies is discussed,” Cab said in a statement.
“It was informed to the members that the taxi had asked BCCI to allow the audience in the venue.
Feedback from BCCI was awaited.
Taxis still hope for positive results,” he added.
The Apex Cab Board meeting also approved the decision that the garden spotlight system Eden requires renovation and LED systems need to be installed earlier with DMX facilities.
In addition, the equipment and rules of the tournament for the league tournament will come for the first and second division approved by members and it is decided that equipment can be released immediately.
“The registration window for players has been extended until 28 February 2022 by remembering the current relaxation provided by the state government so it is easier for clubs, units and players to come and complete their registration formalities,” Cab said.
The Apex Council congratulates U19 Indian team members who won the World Cup Avehek Porel and Ravi Kumar for his extraordinary bowling show.
