New Delhi: India has not been invited to an important meeting organized by Russia in a rapidly growing situation in Afghanistan which is expected to see Pakistani, Chinese and US participation, people who are familiar with that development on Thursday.
When the Taliban continued his attack in Afghanistan, Russia had increased efforts to reach all the main stakeholders in a war-hit country to stop violence and encourage the Afghan peace process.
The meeting of the Troika Extended Troika ‘is scheduled to be held in Qatar on August 11.
The discussion based on the previous format took place on March 18 and April 30.
Russia has also held a ‘Moscow format’ talks to bring peace and create conditions.
for the national reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
Last month, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Tashkent that Russia will continue to work with India and other countries that can affect the situation in Afghanistan.
Following comments, there is speculation that India can be included in the upcoming ‘Extended Trioka’ meeting.
“We will continue to work with America in the expanded Troika format and with all other countries that can affect the situation in Afghanistan, including our partners from Central Asia, India, Iran and the US,” he told reporters.
“We have the Moscow format that covers all the main players,” Lavrov said.
Although Russia has a difference with the US in various dimensions of the Afghan conflict, the two countries now encourage intra-afghanistan talks and to end expanding violence carried out by the Taliban.
India has not commented on the upcoming Troika meeting.
Meanwhile, Afghan Ambassador for India Farid Mamundzay was described as a positive development of the decision to hold a UN Security Council meeting on August 6 to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
The Indian Ambassador for the UN TS Tirumu announced that the UN Security Council will meet on Friday under the Indian presidency to discuss and take stock situations in Afghanistan.
“Organizing the UN Emergency Security Session in Afghanistan is a positive development.
The UN & International Community must play a greater role to stop the ongoing tragedy in Afghanistan due to violence & cruelty by terrorists.
Thank you India for the main role as the main president,” Mamundzay Tweeted.
The decision to hold an UNSC meeting came two days after Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammed Hanif Atmar spoke with his Indian partner Jaishankar about holding the UN Security Council Emergency session to stop the violence of Taliban to stop the violence of Taliban.
India holds the UNSC presidency for August.
