Indian Army, Kashmir University signed the MoU for long-distance education courses for soldiers

Srinagar: Chinar Corps from Indian Army and Kashmir University on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Srinagar to provide a remote education course for the army who currently serves in Kashmir.
According to Mou, the Indian army soldiers posted in Kashmir, will be able to ask for the various courses offered by the Directorate of Distance Education, Kashmir University.
The type of course available for army personnel ranges from a six-month certificate course, a one-year diploma course and two years of postgraduate courses.
A total of 17 courses are currently available for registration by Army personnel, which will increase in time.
On that occasion, Lieutenant General DP Pandey, General Officials ruled 15 Corps said, “As Professor Talat Ahmad, Chancellor of Kashmir University said that when the army personnel joined the service, their education level was low.
And to allow them to have a better chance, It is important for them to obtain knowledge during the service period as well.
There is a request for it, the army who comes out to these areas, serves for two years at the Kashmir location, this bond will allow them to use this period of time to increase their potential knowledge.

Nearly 100 soldiers have registered for courses.
“When talking to the media, Professor Talat Ahmad, Deputy Chancellor, Kashmir University said,” Some soldiers have registered with us, not only from the army but CRPF and other troops too.

Inform about when the course will start from army personnel, the representative of Chancellor said, “The course will begin with this session itself.” Courses featuring in the MA / MSc (Mathematics), MA (English), MA (Urdu), MA (Education) under 2 years and PG DIP courses (Computer Applications), PG DIP (Web Designing), PG DIP (Law Cyber), PG DIP (tourism management) etc.
in the Diploma category.
The MoU will run far in achieving the dream of every soldier to pursue and improve his academic qualifications on the way.
It will also increase Bonhomie and develop civil military bonds through civil performances.
