Indian bending Mirabai Chanu landed in Tokyo before the Olympics

Tokyo: Ace Indian Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu on Friday reached Tokyo from the training base in the United States for the upcoming Olympics, starting on July 23.
Chanu, Indian single weightlifting at the Olympics, landed here with National coach Vijay Sharma and assistant coach Kumar after undergoing a 50-day training assignment in St.
Louis, USA.
Other coach Pramod Sharma and Physiotherapist Aalap Javadekar also accompanied Chanu for the Tokyo match, which was postponed by a year due to Covid-19 pandemic.
26-year-old India will compete in the 49 kg category at the second Olympics.
Chanu, who won a gold medal in the 2017 World Championship 2017 and 2018 Commonwealth Games in the 48kg category, has a disappointing sightseeing in the Rio game, shaky in all three businesses.
India will be represented by a strong 228 contingent, including 119 athletes, at the Tokyo Olympics, detained under a strict and spectator health protocol after a raging health crisis.
The first athlete batch will leave for Tokyo on Saturday from the national capital.
