Does your diet meet your body’s nutritional needs? We often think that eating foods full of vegetables, cereals and fruits is enough to meet the nutritional needs of our body, but a recent study reveals that 70 percent of the average Indian diet does not have enough nutrients.
Learning
Nearly nine of the 10 doctors and nutritionists believe that the average Daily Indian diet only meets the nutritional needs of 70 percent or even lower than a person, according to a survey released on Tuesday.
This finding is based on a national survey of 220 health practitioners (doctors and nutritionists) by supradyn brand multivitamin supplements.
This survey turned on a worrying gap in meeting 100 percent nutritional requirements in all zones in India.
As many as 90 percent of doctors and nutritionists agree to at least 30 percent of nutrient gaps in dietary diets even among countries that most consume non-vegetarian foods.
Furthermore, surveys show that vitamin B12 and D3 are two top vitamins that are less in the average daily diet throughout the country, followed by zinc, iron, calcium, folic acid, and vitamin C.
Findings
A whopping 73 percent of doctors and nutritionists believe that this inability can be overcome by daily dose of multimineral multimineral supplements.
“The Nutrition survey led by a doctor has identified a surprising large nutritional gap in our daily diet, highlighting the lack of micronutrients,” said Sandeep Verma, Head of State, India, Bayer Consumer Health Division, in a statement.
To conclude
“This survey has revived the surprising truth: daily average diet does not always meet 100 percent of your body’s nutrition needs.
Including daily multivitamin-multivitamin supplements can help bridge the nutritional gap and provide optimal immune levels with energy and immunity,” added Dr.
Jenam P.
Mehta, doctor consultant and chest specialist, members of the European respiratory community.
With Covid-19 pandemic which has a reset priority, health and fitness has increased to the peak of the mind.
Therefore, meeting nutritional requirements every day must be seen as a developing need, not just an additional benefit, suggested surveys.
