Indian first animal law master at Nalsar University

Hyderabad: Nalsar University of Law on Wednesday, cooperating with Indian Humane Society International (HSI) Humane Society International (HSI), launched the country’s first teacher course.
This two-year course aims to serve increasing needs for trained professionals in the animal protection sector, providing knowledge of the need to protect animals, and equip students with knowledge of the legal aspects of animal protection.
This course will provide a deep legal understanding of the largest concerned fields relating to the welfare of animals in the country and problems that arise throughout the world.
It will also include laws relating to the prevention of cruelty of animals, criminal procedures, wildlife laws, and other policies that directly affect animal welfare and how to report crimes against animals.
“Through this program, Nalsar aims to make experts, both lawyers or other professionals, in the sector sector that serves animal protection and specializes in aspects of animal law in India, as well as internationally recognized laws,” said the executor director HSI India and honorary director for animal law centers, Alokparna Sengupta.
The curriculum has been designed to meet the professional needs of animal welfare and advocate protection and lawyers.
Students registered in this course will get access all the time to reading materials, presentations and videos on the online platform developed specifically for the course.
Aarlier in 2019, Nalsar has launched a postgraduate diploma in animal law.
The application for new master courses is now open and the deadline for reception is August 16.
