Hundreds of Hindu Hindu Activists Right-wing up together at this week’s conference to swear: They will change India, constitutionally the secular republic, become Hindu nations, even if they need dying and killing.
“If 100 of us are ready to kill two million of them, then we will win and make India a Hindu country,” said Pooja Shakun Pandey, a Hindu leader Mahasabha, a group that supports military Hindu nationalism, referring to the country’s Muslim.
“Be prepared to kill and go to prison.”
Even by the standard of increasing anti-Muslim anger in India, a three-day conference in Haridwar, 150 miles north of New Delhi, produced the most blatant and worrying call for violence in recent years.
