Dubai: An Indian Mariner has won USD 1 million (RS 7.45 Crore) in a lucky lottery contest in the UAE, according to media reports on Thursday.
Ganesh Shinde, 36, based in Thane, Maharashtra, bought a Jackpot ticket on June 16 from free Dubai Dubai Millennium Milliaryaire and the best surprise website before his arrival here, The Gulf News reported.
Shinde works as a sailor for Brazilian companies and every time he travels between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro there is a transit waiting in Dubai.
Upon arrival, Shinde found that he had won the jackpot.
“It’s amazing.
I’m still shocked.
This is an extraordinary opportunity.
I am very happy and grateful to Dubai free duty.
I like Dubai City.
I hope to visit immediately,” he told daily.
Shinde said he had regularly bought lottery tickets for the past two years.
“I want a new car, a new apartment, save money for my child’s education.
So the list is long.
Prize money will serve these goals,” he told the newspaper.
Draw Lucky Millennium Millionaire began in 1999 and Shinde was an Indian citizen 181 to win above USD 1 million in the contest.
