LONDON: Fregat Freight Indian Navy anchored at Portsmouth Port on the southern coast of England as part of a good intention visit to the heart of the celebration of Sunday Independence Day in the UK.
INS Tabar, who arrived at Portsmouth on Thursday to conduct annual bilateral exercises of Conkan between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy of the British, held a special flag Hoisting ceremony with around 300 crew members on Mahidudi’s Captain’s command.

The combined exercise, along with the Westminster HMS from the Kingdom Navy is intended to increase interoperability, synergy and cooperation between the two navies,” he said.
The warship, part of the West Armada of the Indian Navy, sailed from Mumbai in early June and has been doing exercises in Russia and Italy on the way to England and is expected to return next month.
This year’s training edition is starting when the Indian Navy and the Kingdom Navy meet for training at sea before the exercise port phase, where some professional interactions, sharing best practices and port exercises are also carried out.
This exercise will continue in the sea on Monday, when inseparing Ins will meet with the kingdom naval frigate along with beach-based aircraft for air defense, anti-submarine procedures, charging on marine activities, and communication training at sea.
The spotlight of this exercise will be a cross-deck helicopter operation, where the helicopter will carry out a landing procedure.
