India and Indonesia have carried out Corpat along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) twice a year since 2002, with the aim of maintaining the Indian Ocean region safe and safe for commercial and international trade shipments.
“Corpats help build understanding and interoperability between the Navy, and facilitate the institutions of steps to prevent and suppress illegal illegal fishing (IUU), drug trafficking, maritime terrorism, armed robbery and piracy,” said Madhwal Commander.
India and Indonesia traditionally enjoy close and friendly relationships that include spectrum of various activities and interactions.
Maritime interactions have grown firmly between the two navies with frequent port visits, bilateral exercises and training exchanges.
