Written by news2in

Mumbai: Western Naval Command (WNC) Tuesday has set an area of three KM from the perimeter of the Navy installation in Mumbai as “Fly Zone No.”.
All individuals or civil bodies are prohibited from flying air drones in this zone for any reason.
The defense spokesman said the use of drones was governed by guidelines issued by the Interior Ministry as they had been amended from time to time.
Agreement from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will be obtained through the DIGI SKY website, and a copy of the approval letter must be submitted to the head office, the command of the Western Navy at least a week before the scheduled flight operation.
The Indian Navy has the right to confiscate or destroy air drones or unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) found flying in this area without the previous consent.
Operators found violating this guideline will be responsible for prosecution based on relevant legal provisions.
