Siliguri: Bus service between Siliguri in West Bengal and Kathmandu in Nepal continued after remaining for more than one and a half years due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Bus 45 seating left Siliguri Junction Bus Terminus on Tuesday afternoon for Kathmandu with several passengers.
The bus will reach Kathmandu through Kakarvita, Lalgarh, Naubis, according to the owner of the Siliguri bus and the booking agent association.
Passengers traveling on the bus must be fully vaccinated, in addition to following all Covid safety protocols, the President of the Association of Santosh Sahha said.
The bus will leave for Kathmandu from Siliguri on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3 pm.
Tickets are given a price of 1,500 Rs.
The tour operator expressed hope, stating that the resumption of bus services would increase tourism in the region.
