New Delhi: Indian couple Siddhesh Pande-Mudit Dani and Fidel R Snehit-Sudhanshu Grover must be satisfied with the bronze medal after losing the semifinals multiply each at the ITTF Kazakhstan International Open in Karaganda.
Both the couple put up a good show along the tournament before suffering defeat in contrast mode in each semi-final.
While the Maharashtra duo from Mudit and Siddhesh suffered a loss of 0-3 against Pairs of Saudi Arabia from Ali Alkhadrawi and Abdulaziz Bu Shulaybi, Snehit and Sudhanshu fell against 2-3 against Kazakh Pair of Alan Kurmangaliyev and Kirill Gerassiummenko.
Snehit also entered a single final after beating Pavel Platonov from Belarus 4-1.
World number 405 India will take 46th place in Kirill Gerassiummenko from Kazakhstan in a gold medal match.
A double pair of Indian women from Kaushani Nath and Prapti Sen also stormed into the final, beat Uzbek Duo Kamila Khalikova and Mekhriniso Norkulova 3-1.
They will now face Valeria Kotcyur and Valeria Shcherbatykh from Russia in the Clash title.
