New Delhi: India On Wednesday reiterated the need for a political settlement inclusively negotiated for the Afghan crisis and said the Afghan region should not get used to the other countries.
In the virtual interactive session in the industrial room, the foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said New Delhi was related to all the countries concerned with Afghanistan issues, noting that he had to see the best way to protect his interests and “make the best” from a difficult situation.
The foreign secretary said India had been “active” and “engaged” with the international community about the situation in Afghanistan to ensure that the greater interests were protected.
“We relate to all the countries concerned with this problem and we must see the best way to protect our interests, making the best from a difficult situation,” said the Secretary of the Foreign.
“But I think, in many ways, we have been quite active and I would say, engaged in the international front to ensure that our greater interest is protected and we are not in any way that is susceptible to new strategic reality in this section.

Shringla also mentioned the UN Security Council resolution of 2593 in Afghanistan and described it as “one-seminal”.
Foreign Secretary also said that there was a need to provide humanitarian access to Afghanistan and that there should be no human rights violations, children and minorities.
“The resolution of the UN Security Council 2593, which is even now a resolution of seminals in Afghanistan because it puts benchmarks from what the international community expects from Afghanistan and what the requirements are from the Taliban,” he said, “One of them is a political settlement inclusively., Secondly It is that the area should not be used against losses from others, the third is that they must provide humanitarian access, the fourth is that there should be no human rights violations in women, children and minorities, “he added.
Shringla said this is a basic benchmark that the international community wants to hold Afghan dispensation that is currently responsible.
“And this is something we have to wait and watch,” he added.
The Secretary of the Foreign Secretary also mentioned a regional dialogue that was recently held by India in the Afghanistan situation.
India hosted a regional dialogue in Afghanistan on November 10 which was attended by Russian NSA, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Participating countries vowed to ensure that Afghanistan did not become a safe place for global terrorism and called for the formation of the government “open and truly inclusive” in Kabul with representation of all parts of the Afghanistan society.
The declaration released at the end of the Delhi regional security dialogue in Afghanistan said the Afghanistan region should not be used to protect, training, planning or financing terrorist acts.
