New Delhi: India R value which shows the level of spread of Coronavirus increasingly decreases to 1.57 on Sunday from January 14-21 and the third wave of the third wave infection is expected to come in the next two weeks, according to the Introduction Analysis by IIT Madras.
R-value shows the number of infected people can spread the disease.
Pandemics are considered to end if this value applies below 1.
According to the analysis distributed by IIT Madras with PTI, the R value is recorded at 1.57 between January 14 and January 21.
The amount is recorded at 2.2 on Sunday January.
7-13 Meanwhile 4 from 1-6 January and 2.9 from December 25 – December 31.
The initial analysis was carried out with computing modeling by the Mathematics Department of IIT Madras and the Center for excellence for computing mathematics and data science led by Prof.
Neelesh S Upadhye and Prof S Sundar.
According to data, R value-R Mumbai is 0.67, Delhi 0.98, Chennai 1.2 and Kolkata 0.56.
Explain further, Dr.
Jayant Jha, Assistant Professor, Mathematics Department, IIT Madras, said the value-r Mumbai and Kolkata showed that the peak was there and it became an endemic temporary for Delhi and Chennai still close to 1.
“The reason for it could be In accordance with the new ICMR guidelines they have deleted the requirements for contact contacts and therefore there are fewer infections as before, “he told PTI.
The APEX ICMR health agency has issued guidelines in accordance with Coronavirus patient contacts that do not need testing unless identified as high risk based on age or comorbidity.
Jha further said according to their analysis, The Coronavirus Peak is likely to come in the next 14 days until February 6.
Previous prediction was that the third wave peak was likely between February 1 and February 15.
The third wave of Covid-19 was driven by the Omicron variant.
