Indian riders are suspended for 2 years; Efi asked to apologize by an international body

New Delhi: Four Indian riders finally paid the price for the federation of riding from Indian bad deeds (EFI).
And the price is great – it might end their professional career.
Solving the whip, the international Pegging Tent Federation based in Oman (ITPF) has suspended four Indian horse riders for two years to imitate Nepalese citizens and participate in the Pegging Tent of the World Cup qualifier in Greater Noida from 16 to 18 March 2021.
The tournament was organized by EFI , along with equiwings sports headquartered in Delhi, under Aegis ITPF.
In accordance with the documents owned by Toi, the Secretary General of ITPF Haitham MJ Al-Lawati has written to his colleague in WFI, Col Jaiver Singh, stated: “…
suspension of competitors representing the Nepal team (Indian passport holder) from participating in local competitions and internationally for a period of 24 months starting from June 29, 2021, and the Indian Federation will follow up on this.
“He added:” India’s riding federation must write an apology letter to ITPF, which states that it has not complied with legal procedures followed internationally before the start Competition and to verify the participant’s passport.
In case there is no response from EFI within 21 days, WC qualifications in India will be canceled, and the qualifications will be repeated with the participation of all countries in accordance with the previously approved schedule.
“Indian horse riders representing Nepal in the tent Pegging WC is yogender, Was Mohamed, Kapil and Vinay Kumar.
However, while representing the Nepal team, the results sheet mentioned their names as Yogyakarta, Galam, Kepal and Vinay.
Interestingly, the letter by Al-Lawati to Col Singh dates back to August 18, 2021 and Efi held an Executive Committee (EC) meeting on August 20 at Lodhi Road here, which was attended by observers appointed by the Delhi High Court, Dr.
Sy Quraishi.
However, the EC outlook from the meeting was uploaded on the EFI website only on Thursday on November 18, which had the letter.
EFI has held its own internal investigation into this issue under the leadership of the Col Rakesh Nair (REPD), which has, at an EC meeting, looking for an extension of one month through a letter written on August 16 to complete the investigation.
There are five teams that participated in the event: India, Pakistan, Belarus, USA, and Nepal.
Of the seven competitions held in qualifications, India claims six gold and one bronze to complete 515 points and qualify for the World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2023.
Pakistan is second and followed by Nepal in third place.
