Indian sea fisheries bill: Ministry of Fisheries to hold virtual meetings with parliamentarians from coastal areas

Villupuram: Fisheries Union, Animal Husbandry, and Ukmary Advisors will hold video conferencing at 11 am on July 15 with members of Parliament chosen from coastal constituencies to gain their views on the design of the Indian Marine Marine Fisheries Bill, 2021.
In the letter, Minister of Fisheries Union Parshottam Rupala Inviting Villupuram MP D Ravikumar to attend the virtual conference to discuss the various regulations of the bill bill.
Rupala is optimistic that input and suggestions from parliamentarians from coastal areas will overcome problems related to the livelihoods of traditional fishermen and small scale in addition to paving for sustainable marine fisheries in this country.
He said Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla trafficked a meeting with MPs from coastal areas to discuss the provisions proposed by the Marine Fisheries (Regulatory and Management) Bill, 2020 (now renamed as Indian sea fisheries bill, 2021) and register a view and register their advice.
Birla relieves IDE during the discussion in February last year with the existence of foreign fishing trawles in the Indian exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
