Indian Railways has set a rolling ball to produce 100 sets of Vande Bharat Express trains in 2024.
PM Narendra Modi has a speech of independence day announced that 75 train Vande Bharat will connect big cities on August 15, 2023.
National transportation has now issued a tender for the propulsion system And other equipment from 58 Vande Bharat Rakes, Learning Toi.
The contract for 44 Vande Bharat Rakes equipment has been given to Medha Servo earlier this year.
With this, Indian Railways aims to launch 102 Vande Bharat trains in early 2024, a source to TOI.
Vande Bharat is a luxury air-conditioned car seat service that looks similar to a high-speed train.

This will be closed in October this year.
Pre-bidding conferences for this will be held in September.

Two first Vande Bharat trains to run on the Delhi-Varanasi and Delhi-Katra route have been produced at the ICF, Chennai.
As part of the tender for 44 Garu was awarded before, Vande Bharat Rake’s first prototype would be produced at the Chennai ICF in March 2022 and widely tested by RDSO.
The Indian train hopes to start placing the new Vande Bharat train to be a service in the second half of 2022.

Some of them are; The back push feature for lying chairs, emergency windows for evacuation, protection for underslung equipment from floods, four instead of 2 emergency push buttons per trainer, centralized coach monitoring system, bacterial-free air conditioning system, disaster lights if lamp failure, ventilation up to 3 hours if Power failure etc.
