WASHINGTON: The partnership between India and the United States is rooted in their shared responsibilities to enforce democratic values, the White House said on Tuesday for greeting Indians on the 73rd Republican Day.
“We joined India, the largest democracy in the world, in honor of Republican Day, the day marking the adoption of the Indian Constitution,” said the White Press Secretary Jen PSaki told reporters at his daily press conference.
“As President (Joe) Biden said when the Indian Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi visited the White House last September, the relationship between India and the United States was destined to be stronger, closer and tighter, and could benefit the whole world,” he said.
“Our partnerships are rooted in our shared responsibilities to enforce democratic values,” PSAKI said in response to the question.
In a tweet, Congress member Eric Swalwell congratulated India and India America on the occasion of the Republican Day of the 73rd India.
“India and the United States form the largest democracy in the world and the world’s largest in the world.
And our shared partnerships, democratic beliefs, supremacy of law, humanity, charity and ensure that human rights are carried out not only in our own country.
But all the world is what Which makes our partnership so special, “he said.
Indians Americans throughout the country have made special preparations to celebrate the day of the Republic of India.
Because of the restrictions of Covid-19, the Indian Embassy here is scheduled to celebrate the opportunity virtually with Indian Ambassador Tararjit Singh Sandhu unfurling national flags in front of a small group of people.
