NEW DELHI: The Indian visa or remain stipulation span of overseas nationals stranded in India because of Covid-19 pandemic is going to be deemed as considered to be valid until August 31, 2021, stated the ministry of home affairs on Friday.
According to an official media release from the ministry, because of this non-availability of ordinary business flight operations due to this Covid-19 pandemic because March 2020, a variety of overseas nationals who came into India before March 2020 on legal Indian visas had started stranded at India.
Keeping in view the problems being faced by these foreign nationals in receiving their visas stretched in India as a result of lockdown, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had issued an order on June 29, 2020, dispersing the Indian visa or remain stipulation span of these foreign nationals dying post June 30, 2020, will be regarded as valid till 30 more days by the date of resumption of regular global flight operations, on gratis foundation.
Yet, these foreign nationals are implementing for the expansion of the visas or remain stipulation interval on a monthly basis.
The issue has been reconsidered from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) from the mild non-resumption of ordinary business flight operations, and it has been determined that the Indian visa or remain stipulation span of these overseas nationals stranded in India is going to be deemed as regarded as valid until August 31, 2021, on gratis foundation without recourse of any overstay punishment.
According to the ministry, all these foreign nationals won’t have to submit any software to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO)/Foreigners Registration Office (FRO) involved for expansion of the visas.
Such overseas nationals could apply for leave consent to the FRRO/FRO worried before departing the nation, which will be allowed on a gratis basis without any type of any overstay penalty.
