NEW DELHI: The Indian women cricketers, that produced the final of the season’s T20 World Cup in Australia, will get their share in the $500,000 prize cash at the conclusion of the week, also some senior BCCI official said on Sunday after it came to light they are not yet been paid.
A report from the UK’s’Telegraph’ newspaper quoted an official in the Federation of International Cricketers Association (FICA) as stating that the BCCI is yet to disburse the runner-up prize currency of this international event, which has been held at February-March this past calendar year.
India were directed by Harmanpreet Kaur in the event, in which they lost to Australia in the last.
“The members of these Indian women’s cricket team will soon be receiving the talk of the prize money at the end of the week. The transactions are processed and that I hope that they’ll get their share quite shortly,” the older board functionary told PTI.
Considering the delay, he explained:”We obtained the prize cash amount overdue last year”
The processing of gamers’ obligations in BCCI will take approximately three to four weeks for several types (across age classes ).
But as this past year, the BCCI headquarters at Mumbai have stayed closed because of this COVID-19 situation throughout the nation resulting in delay payments all across.
“It is not only 1 payment for ladies. When it’s the fundamental contract of their men’s group, global game charges, national fees of women and men, what’s taking a little bit of time due to the prevailing scenario,” a former BCCI office-bearer, nevertheless connected with a condition device, said.
He further advised:”Before the COVID scenario prevailed, the national season would finish in March along with the payments were just eliminated by September.
