Indian Women Cricketers Nice to Get ‘Space Breathing’ in Quarantine in NZ

New Delhi: Members of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team can exercise and “breathe” during mandatory isolation and quarantine (MIQ) in New Zealand.
Team members, who had to undergo a 14-day hard quarantine that punished in Australia in September-October, found Miq at Christchurch much more comfortable.
Quarantine facilities have large enough rooms to accommodate fitness equipment and some of them also have a balcony.
The players are installed in a small quarantine hotel room in Australia.
The team had experienced a hard quarantine in Mumbai before his departure for New Zealand on January 24.
“The players are comfortable in Miq.
The team will start practicing in the net after completion of quarantine on Saturday.
The fact is a balcony.
Attached to the room makes a big difference,” said a BCCI official.
“The food served in the room is also good but the players are not allowed to meet each other,” added the official.
To reduce the risk of Covid-19, one from T20 and five odi between India and New Zealand have been transferred to Queenstown.
The series starts on February 9 with T20 and has been scheduled ahead of the ODI World Cup in March-April.
The series against New Zealand before the World Cup will give India’s valuable time to get used to “windy conditions”.
India, who completed the runner-up in the last edition five years ago, is expected to go all the way this time.
