MANAMA: The Indian women’s football team defeated Bahrain low 5-0 in international friendly matches on Sundays.
Pyari Xaxa (19th minute and 68) scored two goals while Sangita Before (13th), Indumathi 34, Manha (69) was another goal-getter.
However, Pyari was sent by the referee in the 73rd minute.
Bahrain is ranked 85th on the FIFA chart with 57th position in India.
India has beaten UAE 4-1 and lost to Tunisia 0-1 in Dubai in an international friendly match earlier this month.
The team faced Taipei China, which was ranked higher on the 40th in the FIFA chart, here on Wednesday.
The friendly match is part of preparation for the AFC Asian Cup, which will be organized by India in January-February.
Before the victory against the 100th UAE ranking on October 2, Tigress Blue had been without a victory in the previous five matches this year, even though they all opposed high-ranking European side.
