After clashes of violence on May 5, 2020, both – the Indian and Chinese military – gradually enhancing their placement by rushing on tens of thousands of soldiers and heavy weapons.
As a result of a series of military and diplomatic talks, both parties completed the release process last year on the north and South Bank of Lake Pangong and in the gorry area.
Each side currently has around 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the actual control line (LAC) in the sensitive sector.
