New Delhi: The Minister of Sports Exit Kiren Rijju on Thursday said the journey to make India a great sports nation will continue after the Thakur replaces him with only two weeks left for the Tokyo Olympics.
Rijiju, who took over the sports ministry in May 2019, will submit responsibility to Thakur, which is also an information and gravers of broadcasters in the cabinet that is reshuffled.
Thakur was the first cabinet minister since Mani Shankar Iyer (2006-2008) to get the responsibility of the sports ministry.

“I shift to the Ministry of Law and Justice but the efforts that occur at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs will continue and my best hope for the team,” he added.
“The time I have in the ministry of sports and adolescents is also full of events and activities.
From young athletes to seniors, I have met most of them and interacts with them.
The journey makes India Great sports nation will continue and will be fulfilled.
Rijju praises His team at the Ministry of Sport, said that everything was in his capacity to fulfill the aspirations of the citizens and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Secretary of Youth, Sports Secretary, Director General of Sai and the entire team.
We have a great team, we have an amazing trip.
We did everything to fulfill the vision of the prime minister of Hon’ble and the aspirations of the people.
“Rijiju was appointed as a sports minister in May 2019, replacing the Silver Medalist Olympics Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

Sports and Youth Affairs, Rijiju also serves as Minister of State for Minority Affairs before being given charges while the Ministry of Ayush.
More than 120 athletes has been eligible for the Olympics, which will be opened on July 23 amid a strict health safety protocol because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
