Indira Rasois will get a 50% grant from the Finance Commission

Jaipur: Urban Local Agency (ULB) will receive a 50% grant from the State Finance Commission to operate the Indira Rasoi scheme, which provides food to the poor in subsidized tariffs.
Grants will only be used for the Rasoi scheme.
The Ministry of Finance has released the first installment around Rs 6 Crore.
An official at the local agency Directorate said, “Previously, grant money was sometimes used for other projects.
In this situation, it would be difficult to fund a lot of work.” The decision was taken because ULB in the country faced the financial burden to run an ambitious scheme of the state government , The Department of Development of Urban and Housing (UDH) at the request of the district administration and hospital, recently announced to make special arrangements to provide fresh and nutritious food to covid patients.
The power was delegated to the urban bodies and district collectors to establish an Indira Rasoi extension counter at the hospital and the foundation of insulation as needed so that covid patients and family staff and their hospital staff could benefit from the scheme.
“When the scope of the work widened, there was stress to regulate funds too.
This is the reason specific funds have been provided for the implementation of a successful scheme,” added officials as part of the scheme, 100 grams of credit, 100 grams of vegetables, 250 grams of chapati and pickles per The plate will be given to people in 358 Indira Rasois (kitchen) which has been established in 213 urban local agencies throughout the state.
This scheme targets to serve food to 1.34 lakh people per day in the state.
