Indore taught the cleanest city of India, the 5th time in a row

New Delhi: Indore in Madhya Pradesh has maintained the top position as the cleanest city of India at the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2021.
The city has now been elected the cleanest in India for five consecutive times.
Letter and Vijaywada pocketed 2nd and third places each at 6th Swachh Survekshan Awards announced on Saturday.
While the letter has held in place from last year, Vijaywada moved Navi Mumbai to take the 3rd place.
Chhattisgarh has been awarded the cleanest country for the third consecutive year.
The top three places for the cities with lakh populations under-1 go to Vita, Lonawala and Saswad – all of Maharashtra.
In other categories, Varanasi won awards for the cleanest Ganga City, while Ahmedabad Cantonment was decided as the cleanest Canton in the country.
President of RAM Nath Kovind gave awards to the winner on Saturday.
