Gurgaon: After receiving repeated complaints from the industrialists about frequent outages, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) on Sunday carried out a special preventive maintenance drive in IMT Manesar and Sector 37 and assured the factory owners that they won’t have to face power cuts during the workdays.
A team of DHBVN officials carried out the maintenance work — tree trimming and replacement of weak jumpers — of over 20 feeders in IMT Manesar and Sector 37.
The officials further held a meeting with a delegation of industrialists and assured them that the discom will ensure that there are no outages during the weekdays.
Any maintenance work on the power infrastructure that may require brief power cuts will be undertaken only on Sundays so that the operations of the factories aren’t impacted.
“We met the industrialists and assured them that we’ll carry out maintenance works only on Sundays,” said DHBVN Circle 1 SE Manoj Yadav.
