NEW DELHI: Industry chambers on Saturday reported the GST amnesty of decreasing late penalties for delayed yearly yield filing will offer some aid to small taxpayers, also required complete waiver of their late penalties and interestrates.
They, however, expressed disappointment without a choice on requirements of zero-rating of health care providers, medical instruments and equipment employed in Covid-19 therapy.
PHD Chamber president Sanjay Aggarwal explained that medium and small companies have been seriously affected as a result of this pandemic and letting them file pending yields with reduced late fees, will inspire them to record returns and facilitate their compliance burden.
