Nagpur: Infestation of Bollworm Pink in more cotton gardens has caused concern that spraying pesticides can increase during this season, and in turn leading to an increase in inhalation cases of unintentional pesticides.

Vinod Chavan, a 42-year-old farmer from Yavatmal District, allegedly died of inhaling pesticides last week.
His relatives said he fell unconscious on the return of agriculture.
Chavan was taken to the Medical College (GMC) government, Yavatmal, where he was declared dead.
At present, there are four other patients in GMC, the condition is stable, said a senior doctor.

Yavatmal is an epicenter with the highest fatality of 20 to 23.

Yavatmal Amol Yegade District collector said that the pesticide company provides a kit to choose farmers.
“The kit may not reach all, but the district administration is traveling consciousness.
Farmers are asked to wear masks and gloves, not to consume tobacco and do not work with empty stomachs when spraying,” Yegade said.
The Swiss Syngenta pesticide company has been allocated a stewardship program in Yavatmal bags.
According to the details distributed by Syngenta officials, the third edition of the safety drive is being carried out this season.
The official said that 10,000 farmers would be safely trained.
More than 250 trained spray people will be deployed to prevent accidents.
