Informing how many people die from black mushrooms: Raj HC

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has asked the state government in the number of people infected with black mushrooms, the number of deaths and availability of essential drugs to treat these patients.
Justice MM Srivastava and Justice Vinod Kumar Bharwani has ordered the state government to submit reports in this matter in a week.
Even after declaring black fungal disease as an epidemic, litigation of public interest regarding the lack of appropriate treatment for patients and lack of essential drugs will now be heard on November 29.
Advocate Siddharth Jain Mestha has submitted a pill that said the state government had been declared black epidemic of fungal disease but the hospital did not provide the right treatment.
Petitioenr has claimed that the injection of liposome amphotericin used in the treatment of diseases is not available on the market while the doctor issued a slips to the patient’s relatives to carry 40 to 50 injections.
In such situations, patients are dying.
Petitioenr also demands that the state government must provide RS 5 Lakh compensation to relatives of patients who die of black mushrooms in the absence of treatment.
During hearing, ASG Rd Rastogi representing the central government to inform the issue of compensation for the dependents of those who died because of black mushrooms are waiting at the Supreme Court.
He said the problem of regulating drugs was from the state government.
