PANAJI: The government continued the maternal treatment step to the state industry sector with infrastructure, especially the road, left in a bad condition, said the Goa State Industries Association (GSIA).
Almost stabbed the hole to the ambition of the state to become a logistics center for the west sector, Gsia said that the road in most industrial plantations was in a sad condition.
President Gsia Damodar Kochkar also criticized the government to repeatedly request funds from the private sector while not trying to overcome industrial worries.
“They only need us when they want funds or CSR.
The condition of the road even in the main industrial area is very bad,” said Kochkar.
“Industry, which is the highest contributor to state GDP, has been fully ignored by the government.” The Chairperson of the Sawant Minister of Pramod has directed PWD to improve all national highways, the state highway and the main district roads in 1.
However, the streets in the industrial area were not repaired.
“The government, which has made a budget provision of RS 10 Crore to improve infrastructure in industrial estates, at least have to release some funds to the Cave Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) for the continuous industrial plantation,” said Kochkar.
Kochkar, who is a member at the GIDC Board, said that the corporation managed by the government went bankrupt and could not pay salaries and develop infrastructure.
Gsia has demanded an investigation into the use of GIDC funds and tenders for infrastructure work.
“GIDC harasses the industry on every occasion that is possible to extract money to pay salaries and other administrative costs.
Excellent costs are charged to issue a construction license.
For renewal construction licenses, three times the charged costs, which functions more than establishing a simple industrial warehouse.
Furthermore , if the implementation of the project is delayed for any reason outside of three years, Lakh Rupee is charged as a penalty to provide an extension, “Kochkar added.
He also demanded that a contract to digitize GIDC must be given to well-known private companies so that work can be completed in a short period of time and with reasonable costs.
“Over the past four years, Goa Electronics Ltd has struggled to digitize Goa-IDC services,” he said.
