Gurgaon: in the hope of reducing the process of business and completing infrastructure projects, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) plans to increase its efforts to remove obstacles to development work in the new sector.
According to officials, some GMDA projects have not been completed in the sector 58 to 115 because of the obstacles in the acquisition of land, encroachment, compensation issues and remain given by various courts, which leads to ‘missing links’.
“For example, if you get some land for projects such as a road construction but one patch has an order to stay implemented by the High Court, it becomes a missing link where you cannot do any work.
You can do work around it, but you Cannot do anything in one patch, “said a senior official GMDA official because the pipes were missing in some unconscious areas.
Likewise, the project to channel waste to waste treatment plants in Dhanwapur has been held by a sewerage that is incomplete in several regions.
At the GMDA authority meeting earlier this month, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sudhir Rajpal said that currently 221 point barriers in various projects have been identified, where 48 has been cleaned through a meeting with various stakeholders, while 173 is still delayed.
This problem both appeared for discussion during the core planning cell meeting earlier this week, where the CEO had directed that accelerated action towards this goal.
