New Delhi: In the midst of a surge in the Omicron case, the Delhi government has increased medical oxygen infrastructure to ensure the availability of life-efficient gas, according to official data.
The government has also bought 6,000 cylinders type D.
One type D cylinder can accommodate 46 liters of oxygen.
Such cylinders are not available in the city until May 31.
Data shows that Delhi Transport Corporation has more than 9,115 cylinders they have.
The city also has pressure adsorption plants that have the capacity to produce tons of 99.66 metric oxygen.
There are no facilities like that in Delhi until May 31.
The government will also install four more plants on January 5, 2022.
Two cryogenic bottling plants with a capacity of 12.5 metric tons will be assigned this week, and this will have the capacity to refill.

Until May 31, the government has three refills that can fill around 1,500 cylinders per day.
The National Capital has seen a surge in the case of Coronavirus in the last few days with 1,313 cases recorded on Thursday and the level of participation that crosses the percent sign.
Delhi has recorded 320 Omicron cases so far.
Delhi was beaten by a brutal second pandemic wave in April-May, which claimed a large amount of life every day, and the problem of lack of oxygen supply in various hospitals has added misery.
