Infra worries for government schools in k’taka when children return

Bengaluru: Physical class for a value of 1-5 will be continued on Monday but not all students who walk to school government will find them with the best form.
With high registration in the past two years and do not use sustainable facilities, many institutions face infrastructure misery.
The high school government model in Uppinangady, Dakshina Kannada has 330 students when it was closed in March 2020.
With private school migration for two years, the number of revenues of up to 560 now.
There are 106 children in class 1 alone.
However, members of the school development committee and monitoring show that the number of classrooms, benches and teachers remain the same.
“There are eight teachers in schools, including the principal and physical education teacher.
How are they expected to manage 560 children who will run on Monday? Moreover, the Covid protocol, how they will match all children …,” said Moidenkutti , Member of SDMC.
Ditto with a government elementary school in Bengre, Mangaluru.
“We have 560 children and four teachers.
Previously, a class had around 48 students.
Now, around 80 and reception is still on.
We need classrooms and benches,” Kairumissa said, member SDMC school.
Many parents struggle financially and choose government schools when the class remains suspended and they do not want to pay fees for services that are not given.
Many schools are also in poor countries because some facilities have not been used for more than 17 months.
“I have visited several schools.
Some do not have the right hand and toilet facilities,” Archana Kr said, a sanititis campaigner.
“All schools are closed during a pandemic.
This department can use this opportunity to repair all buildings – about 62,000 classrooms that need the main and small repairs to make them ready since June 2021,” said VP Niranjanaradhya, education and SDMC mentor.
The National Coalition in Emergency Education has been looking for grants without a bond from the government to develop these schools.
“This is a trend that interferes that in India Budget resources have been cut in the central and carnataka budget and in several countries …
the allocation must be increased.
This is an indicator of the seriousness of education recovery and must be monitored,” the coalition wrote to the minister’s chairman.
DPI officials said the proposal to recruit 21,000 primary teachers guests was with the Ministry of Finance.
“For middle school parts, 3,500 guest teachers have been approved.
For primers, we have sent a proposal to the Ministry of Finance for 21,000 guest teachers and 2,000 other for secondary,” Vishal R, Commissioner said.
“Schools have not been closed, only students have not arrived.
This is a school that requires a grant that we usually provide from the budget.
In this year’s budget allocation, we will provide funds to support them,” he added.
