Inhabitants of illegal homes were asked to leave

Coimbatore: City Corporation has begun the journey to expel encroachment on Bunds Kurichi Kunam as a job to develop water that is underway under the City Smart project.
So far, 70 houses have been destroyed and notifications have been served to 275 houses in Bund.
An official of the city planning section said that there were 95 houses that penetrated Banybody in Sadham Nagar.
While 70 houses have been destroyed, 25 remaining houses will be destroyed next week.
Notifications have been served up to 180 houses in Thiruvalluvar Nagar and 95 houses in Gandhi Nagar.
He said residents had allocated a housing unit in Keeranatham, Malumichampatti and Vellalur.
The remaining residents have been given to August 27 to empty their homes.
The work to break down the remaining buildings will be continued from the next day and so on
