Patna: In what can be referred to as an initial indication of a downtrend in a daily case in the third wave of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic, Bihar reported 3,526 new cases on Monday, showing a significant decline of 1,884 cases everyday in the last 24 hours.
The downward trend was being witnessed since January 14, when the country recorded 6,541 the highest case in the third wave.
It came a little to 6,325 on January 15 and further to 5,410 on January 16.
The upward surge in the Covid case is quite fast, from 30 December, when 132 new cases are reported.
The daily count rose to 1,659 on January 5 and 4,737 on January 10, followed by the highest 6,541 cases on January 14.
Although the number of cases has fallen to almost half in the past three days, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey claims that the situation will become clear in a week.
“These cases decrease or static in Bihar and most places in this country.
The experts say that the omicron variant of the Covid case will go down in the same way as increases.
However, it is still earlier to say something concretely about the trend.
We will Observing the situation for another week, “Pandey told Toi on Monday.
The Minister of Health said the overall third wave severity was relatively less.
“Of the 33,122 Covid active cases in the current country, only around 360 people undergoing hospital treatment, which is only 1% of the total case.
The remaining people are in isolation of houses and the government gave them medicines,” Pandey said, added that people must continue to be careful and follow all the appropriate behavior of Covid.
